Nice score! Does MSI better than gigabyte?))
In order to reach high RAM-frequencies, the board must supply enough DDR voltage. Gigabyte GA-MA790FX-DQ6 and GA-MA790FX-DS5 are limited to 2,35V. GA-MA790X-UD4P for example would supply enough DDR voltage for these frequncies, but can only be overclocked with Easy Tune which is an awfully buggy software. The K9A2 Platinum I used here can supply up to 3,1V DDR voltage and can be overclocked easily with Set-FSB. The disadvantage of this board is the limited CPU voltage and the rather bad CPU voltage stability with high power consumption. To sum it up, every board has advantages and disadvantages and you can not say that MSI is better than Gigabyte or the other way round.
