    I have a Dell Studio 1737. I bought this CPU as replacement of my Core 2 Duo P8600 CPU. It works well, with a good boost in performance! The only drawback is tempeature. T-series are hotter than P and it gives me about 10 degree (Celsius) increase in temperature. From 35 to 45 in idle mode, from 55 to 65 under stress. It still works great, but for my experience go over 60 is not the best thing. I suggest to buy an external LapTop cooler.

    UPDATE: I decided to go back to my old CPU due to very high temperature. After a couple of day of tests, I got over 68 degree just after half an hour of video encoding (100% CPU usage). Be careful of this if you decide to buy this CPU for your 1737!!

    SPOILER: this will be as much a review for my entire laptop upgrade as for the processor itself

    After several years of faithful service, my DELL Inspiron 1545 was beginning to fail on me. So I was faced with a decision, junk and replace it, or upgrade it. When I saw that I could realistically breathe (potentially) a few years of new life into it for under $200 I decided to go that route, rather than dump more than a grand on a whole new system.

    So I ordered up a new processor (this T9600) for a .8ghz boost, a new set of RAM for a 3GB increase, an SSD to replace the old HDD, a new battery for a few extra hours of battery life, and upgraded the OS from Vista to 7. All told I came in right around $200 and I'm pretty happy with it.

    The processor was inexpensive and, with all the upgrades combined, I noticed marked improvement. In retrospect I have no regrets with anything except the OS (wish I had gone with pro instead of home premium). In the end, always consider repairing/upgrading your stuff before throwing it out. Sometimes it's easier and cheaper than you think.

    Very fast for its class and wattage rating. I replaced the 2.2Ghz dual core in my lenovo thinkpad SL510 with this one, and it now runs better than my newer laptop. It even runs windows ten without problems. If you have a laptop, this is a good core to switch to if the motherboard supports it. While it isn't the highest, faster core avaliable, it is usually the best for laptops as the motherboard supports it.

    This is the second processor I've purchased from ETARATECH. Zero issues with either. Processors came very clean and looked as new as could be expected. Very pleased and will look for them in the future for CPU purchases.
