Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Board was packed professionally in a anti-static bag and worked well from the start. All components are in great shape when it arrived. It came with a few sata cables however after installing one to test the board before installing it, I unplugged the sata cable from the board and it pulled the entire connector off. It took a few minutes to line the pins up but I got it back together without any problems. Be careful with the sata cables provided. The release clip has a hard time letting go once inserted onto the board. The PCIe x16 slot locking hinge is extremely close to the ram slots but it works fine.
This motherboard is a huge bang for your buck. I am pleased to see how well it is made. The BIOS is really easy to navigate, and it seems to be up to date. I highly recommend getting this board if you are questioning it. I'm usually an AsRock guy, but I got my first DOA from them and gave Gigabyte a go. I do not regret my decision one bit.
I want to like this board - I have an affinity for low-cost Intel motherboards (they tend to go so well with Pentium G and Core i3 CPUs). I have one big problem with this motherboard: the retention clip used to hold down the PCI Express 16x card is poorly designed in that the release faces down-ward when installed in a case. This isn't a problem for smaller graphics cards, but most cards with big coolers will give you a problem when you try to release this retention clip. Also, the second or third time I replaced a card from the PCI Express slot, the entire plastic shielding for the slot came up with the card (clip released, not holding the card down). Gigabyte, after much argument, RMA'd the motherboard, but by then it wasn't worth my time (literally). There are many solid options in the small LGA 1150 motherboard arena, and I recommend against this board or other boards like it.
Board is a little older to support the processor and we had some difficulty hooking it up with the supplied cables. Eventually we brought it to a computer store and they completed the rebuild.
