How many submissions per benchmark can be done?
You can make an infinite amount of submissions per benchmark
Thanks mate
Ready to rock and roll.
Are there any limits on cooling equipment for the rookie competitions? I hope to have a ln2/dice cpu pot by saturday and would love to use it for these two rookie competitions if it's allowed.
Any use of sub ambient cooling will move you to the Extreme league.
Maybe the staff should add the rules for the 2 new leagues to the general rules page.
Mr.Scott is correct. The use of extreme cooling will move you to the Extreme League. The Rookie Rumble is only for the Rookie League overclockers.
Yeah the Semprons really pull their weight in these benches.
Maybe we can change the benchmarks to make a Bulldozer or Piledriver more interesting?
Maybe might be a idea MASSMAN. Bulldozer and Piledriver aren't really even worth bothering with unless you want to really go for the % OC, which the 6 cores overclock like all hell and easily get that one. FX-6300 seems to be a winner.
The comp is open but can't submit as all the stages are closed as of July. Just a heads up
I'm currently experiencing the same thing.
It would appear the end date for the comp is set to 23/8/14 but each stage end date is 23/7/14.
Ah, good catch guys. I just fixed the contest
.
As for the benchmarks, I'm open for anything. Is there any particular benchmark the AMD Bulldozer/Pilldriver guys like? Maybe we can just add a new one for the Rookie Rumbles.
Cheers Massman.
I think one stage that suits bulldozer/piledriver would be the G.O.
I will test some benches and see what i think.
K10's are awesome at this comp though, but don't write everything off just yet. Ive been playing with the APU's and some of them are pretty awesome. I'll post up my submissions tomorrow.
Well, there's AMD's own overdrive benchmark we could use. I think Winrar bandwidth should also be good for Bulldozer/Piledriver/Steamroller architecture.
excuse me hwbot master, i have submitted wrong cinebench score, how i can delete it ?
Click on your submission. Up on the top right in the white section there should be a link to remove from submission from competition. Try that.
JunkDogg is correct
Yay
It's a rounding issue. Both of you have 1.075, but for some reason the engine rounds one up to 1.08 and the other down to 1.07. SantZp was the first to score 1.075 so he is ranked higher.
As always: "To Solve Issue, Clock Higher"
:D
Make sure clock as much out of your RAM as possible for 11.5 as well Harry. Makes a huge difference. Max CPU, max MEM.
Yes, it's possible to use different processors in different stages
I think I used 4 or 5 last comp. So go for it mate.
hahaha. Luckily enough they are cheap.
Rookie Rumble AMD #5
As far Rookie Rumble AMD #5 is concerned it is just for Rookies. Correct?
Member "harrynowl" is not a Rookie. He/She is a "Novice" which automatically disqualifies him from this competition.
Clear this for me please.
Thanx
He must've moved up during the competition?
The 3 months time period has already expired.
Flexible rules should be like this:
- If the 3 months period expires during the competition, member should be allowed to remain in the competition but excluded from the top 4 positions. Fairness to everybody. Just my opinion.
That's not a question to make me happy or not. That seems sarcastic.
Or we follow the rules or we follow the circus.
The decision is not is my hands.
The rules for the Rumble are that you can finish a competition you started, even if in the period of three weeks you move up to Novice.
That means a novice can steal points from a rookie. Great.
@Massman
Enlighten me please. How do remove myself from this competition please. Thank you.
I'm not complaining about your position. What I complain is that the rules in fact allow novices take the points away from the rookies. And that shouldn't be allowed. Simple straight fact.
You don't get my point don't you?
Wonder why I am not getting much feedback from the moderators. And I thought this place was more organized.
It basically means that you can finish what you started. In the next Rookie Rumble, Harry will be a true Novice and won't be able to join. The Rumbles are all for good fun, I'm sorry to see it's upsetting you so much Randy
.
As Harry said, if you want to remove yourself from the competition you can unlink the submissions from the competition by clicking Remove From Competition in the sidebar on each of the submission pages.
Don't get to worried about it Randy. I'm yet to submit for the other 2 stages LOL
jks.
I guess we'll have to speed up our Novice competition series then ...
Why not ...
... introduce your dad to overclocking?
Oh yeah, better keep this thread hidden from his eyes then, haha.
Can you easily RMA the chip? "It worked first and now it doesn't anymore"-rule,
Awesome mate. Hopefully it gets there in time. You've got to chase that HWBOT Prime score of mine.
Seems to only work for the OC% mate. You can try for the other 2 benches but I've found it only hurts your score. Running 1 core for a massive % overclock can help to get it into windows. More trial and error though mate.
Close Harry. Hope you got your new chip to get some more in mate.
