Oh damn! This is gonna bring back some 01 goodness
Marc Beier will dominate the 32M, you guys got no chance
Looking forward to this
Why not make the LCC 4.0 or 5.0GHz with custom wallpaper so that scores can be used for forums as well?
4.5 is a good balance, some can't make 5Ghz on air Sam...
That was my thinking goofball, i think it's a good mix and nothing wrong with ppl starting a 4.5 comp on forums if they want to as well
:celebration:
Take it EZ Sam it's just a comp
talk about custom skinzzzz
i asked massman to put this up for everyone to use
http://www.gigabyte.us/fileupload/multimedia/2/file/350/723.jpg
I think we will see amazing efficiency.
some nice scores dropping in from Greece and Montenegro
nice work Vivi
Fanku! need to get my efficiency in the zone and see what the other guys come up with
Can i post 4500.78Mhz score? I saw somes 4500.X submited.
im not the judge of the comp but im sure it's +-5mhz from 4500mhz.
There shouldn't be a problem submitting 4500.78
I've added a CPU MHz fluctionation tolerance of +/_ 1MHz since CPU-Z jumps up and down once in a while.
FYI, if you add a 5MHz tolerance to the competition it basically becomes a 4505MHz LLC
So to be correct, 4501 MHz is ok, "4501.000001" not. Right? I know, but it wasnt clear from competition rules. So thanks for info :-)
Correcto, Froxic.
Hey guys i need some assistance,
im using UP5-TH but i can't get my PSC efficiency up.. my samsungs are doing ok tho. Here are the screenshots
What are you doing with your subtimings vivi
thats what i want to know as well, those timings and freq should be close to if not better than what i ran as i did a really weak waza with only 1 move.
The order is as it is in BIOS
8-12-8-28
tRC 26
tRRD 3
tWTR 5
TWR 8
TWTP 18
TWCL 8 (7 gives slower result)
tRFC 88
tRTP 5
tFAW 18
Command 1T
then all the rest auto except for the last timing
TWWSR 4
execute disable bit disabled along with all the other CPU functions and Virtual tech.
I use 640 maxmemm with LLC and background systems enabled, then i do a waza by copying a 1.9gig RAR file from waza drive to pi drive. then pi drive back to waza drive then i run. The cache slow climbs then i start when it is close to full. my page file is 512-512 on the waza drive. and i also run my pi from the waza drive.
i dont have ME installed or any other drivers. Im using a mac keyboard (maybe its doing something weird?)
PS: im also getting heavy CL7 bugs when it try run it, what was the fix for this again?
thanks
Try 14-4-4-10-16-7(&8)-88-4-20(&16) leave tertiary auto
1.88vdimm
sweet im on it!
didn't change much, i'm thinking it's my OS. I'll play around some more. mebe i figure it out
me too!
It's still 7 days left
welldone aristidis!
Thats how you do efficiency. I have some serious issue where im losing about 1.5 to 2sec somewhere
Have you try with cas7 and tight subs? My memory's cant do cas6 and they are very sensitive with cold i have to put a tone of VDDR to by pass cold bug and in the other hand they don't like much high VDDR difficult pazl
Trying with cas6 my board has locked to 16X and now i'm trying to find a way to unlock it. I have change 3 cpu' s reflash bios several times but nothing. I have remove battery and i'll try today again hope that works.
Tried this to unlock the multi again Arisitidis ?
i have already try it but unlocks only inside windows. When you go into bios is locked again.
Aristidis i tried cas 7 but it gave me terrible score, like worse than cas 8, i dont know how to make cas 7 run at good speed. Still a memory noob.
cas 6 work fine for me at -75 and 2.04v. But that is the max
Are you setting twcl (cas write latency) to 7 or 6 for cas7 Vivi?
Strange possibly that means that your memory is unstable with cas7 due to secondary and tertiary timmings
i tried that JJJC but i'll go try again. Maybe aristidis is right i might have some other timing at unstable speeds or something. Will test again
I have to admit. Ram tweaking is likely the most tedious of all overclocking disciplines. It can drive me pretty crazy. There are some pretty impressive times here. I just dont have the really nice ram required for these kinds of speeds. Cant wait to see what gets posted up in the last few days. Nice work Aristidis! Very Nice!
Finally got the board unlocked after removing battery put first a sandybridge cpu and then 3770k...
Dino,
Thanks for sending the RAM back. I forgot how easy it was to get a good score with them
lol
Just FYI - the GIGABYTE custom CPU-Z skin is perfectly legal for competition purposes (even if it's not yet available on CPU-Z official site)
oh noes, Dr.Dre will be upset!
completely forgot about this contest! >.<
Congrats for Aristidis and his ultimate win:ws:
Nice to see no sandbagging! Winning score was posted early for all to see and try and beat.
Congrats Aristidis!
welldone guys!
I didnt have time to rerun at better eff. Great comp was awesome
Great competition. Thanks HWBot and Gigabyte!
Well done aris, I ran out of steam in the end even though I figured out how to almost get 1328mhz on psc sticks to finish, jeeeeeez I can only imagine how good James' RAM is If these things clock like they do( I got festers rejects, thanks man!)
I didn't bother with 01 any more, just don't have the clocks to get to 160k
Whoah, Aris! Nice score!
Thank you all it was a great competition
thanks to GIGABYTE and HWBOT for that.
I think that BBSE's with that board perform better.
Who's ready for round 2 with a twist
