Sweet clocks, but CPU-Z not valid?

February 29, 2012 at 8:17:03 AM GMT

CPU-Z + Llano = sigh

February 29, 2012 at 8:22:02 AM GMT

Uh :)

So I guess my all time unbeatable record can be uploaded? :P

It's a CPU-Z problem, really. You should ask on their forums why it's so messed up.

With LLano, I think it's because they read the HTT incorrectly.

February 29, 2012 at 8:33:54 AM GMT

(cpuzvalidcanardpc HTT) / 2 = Real HTT

February 29, 2012 at 8:41:55 AM GMT

I understand, I have no doubt in my mind these clocks are valid (unlike what I posted above), but the problem is that with WR you should have proper validation, otherwise there is no difference between the two from a spectator's point of view. So Franck should be asked to fix his.

Yes you right,

But I already asked Franck several times, long time ago and over and over again and he still didn't fix cpuzvalid on AMD

February 29, 2012 at 9:04:38 AM GMT

On Llano, not all AMD :)

Then we have a dilema...

February 29, 2012 at 9:06:27 AM GMT

Yeah. Whether or not to drop CPU-Z since the validation procedure is unreliable.

February 29, 2012 at 9:09:44 AM GMT

On Llano, not all AMD :)

Not only Llano ;)

All socket A processors too, sometimes on Bulldozer, always on Bulldozer when using other than Core #1

even on My Phenom II it gets rejected ;)

February 29, 2012 at 9:18:09 AM GMT

And how should we validate clocks from now on, with a realiable solution?

February 29, 2012 at 9:19:02 AM GMT

Christian - we submitted Bulldozer WR with valid link, not rejected. But Yes, I agree that there are problems with AMD and Franck SHOULD fix them.

February 29, 2012 at 9:49:20 AM GMT

Christian - we submitted Bulldozer WR with valid link, not rejected.

My bulldozer is dead and the one I bought 4 months ago is still not arrived :(

But Yes, I agree that there are problems with AMD and Franck SHOULD fix them.

Good luck

February 29, 2012 at 9:52:38 AM GMT

The thing is, though ... Franck SHOULD not anything :).

Remember, we're just users of his free application. If he listens to our requests, that's very nice, but if he doesn't ... it's also fine.

February 29, 2012 at 11:16:21 AM GMT

Remember that money are not coming allways by selling something, but by collateral means also. Same goes for many other programs that are free, and bla bla it is my right, I do it for nothing, and then along comes a big software manufacturer and pop, design this exact software for me, but looking different, for money. Well, you would not get there without the users, so...dunno, I do not feel like somebody is doing me a favour if I use a software that eventually ends up in money.

February 29, 2012 at 11:23:31 AM GMT

Anyway, this is less important, maybe I have a different view on this then others and it does not matter that much. What matters is that when you validate a world record, you should do it with something working, valid. Now if CPU-Z does not work, we must find something new. Of course, I am not talking about this score, it is not Christian's fault that CPU-Z has problems, but I am thinking about the future. Depending on one software alone can be pretty dangerous and there should be options available...

February 29, 2012 at 11:46:16 AM GMT

I understand what you mean and I agree. I don't really see any viable alternative for CPU-Z, though. Not many applications combine 'hard to hack' and 'neat, clean and easy online validation'.

February 29, 2012 at 12:15:12 PM GMT

awesome

February 29, 2012 at 9:38:35 PM GMT

nice. :D

March 1, 2012 at 7:09:02 PM GMT

So we are allowed to submit invalid validations now for points?

March 2, 2012 at 7:32:13 AM GMT

WoW , Big Congrats ! Amazing clock speeds.

Do you have any other good memory clocking chip christian ? If Yes ,I would like to buy :D

Monstru , you're completely right , we don't have any doubt on christian's record but WR should not be based on trust and hope it'll be fixed soon .

March 2, 2012 at 7:50:21 AM GMT

Christian , Getting screen shot on such a this high mem clock is amazing as system will crash , bluescren and ... !!! do you have any higher back-up ?! :D

March 2, 2012 at 6:01:42 PM GMT

So we are allowed to submit invalid validations now for points?

Now it has been validated:

http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2271178

No more rejected by CPU-Z.

Picture will be updated in few hours

Thanks,

Yes, any Hynix H9C CFR and BFR Memory kits can clock very high on AMD Bulldozer/Llano.

Also Samsung D series 30nm.

No backups ;), my system has been maxed to the limits

March 2, 2012 at 7:39:18 PM GMT

Christian CPU-Z again rejected the submission you linked above , I think we should wait for KIND fix of frank as it's a freesoftware ...

Ok, now it looks right, this is how a WR should be validated. Big congrats man!
