GIGABYTE Claim Two World Records Plus 4 Global 1st Places at G.SKILL OC World Record Stage

Team GIGABYTE have been busy again, this time in attendance at the G.SKILL booth here at Computex 2016 where they attended the OC World Record Stage. G.SKILL invited several notable vendors to spend a day at the booth for some live sub-zero benchmarking; having previously had visits from ASUS, ASRock, MSI and EVGA, Friday presented an opportunity for GIGABYTE to show what they had the locker, and they didn’t disappoint, managing to glean two new World Records and four Global 1st Places. Not bad for a day’s work.

The team representing GIGABYTE at the G.SKILL booth included GIGABYTE employees Dino22 and Sofos1990, plus longtime associates YoungPro and SniperOZ. Sofos kicked it off with a slightly retro flavored Global 1st Place win in 3DMark2001 with a score of 187,889 marks with 2x GPU record using a pair of GTX 580 cards plus a an i7 6700K pushed to 6,625MHz (+65.62%).

Submitting scores under the TeamAU banner the guys then set their sights on 3DMark06 claiming the 2x GPU record with a pair of GTX 980 Ti cards and an i7 6700K pushed to 6,620MHz (+65.50%). The 6,4679 marks score submitted was of course a Global 1st Place for 3DMark06 with 2x GPUs.

In Aquamark TeamAU managed to achieve a Global 1st Place score for single GPU benching, using a GTX980 Ti and a 6700K clocked at 6,615MHz (+65.37%) to hit of 629,930 marks. SniperOz stepped up to the plate to bust a purely CPU bound benchmark, breaking the 10 CPU record for HWBOT Prime, pushing a Core i7 6950X to 5,455MHz (+81.83%) to make a Global 1st Place score 11,018.67 Prime Per Second.

Here come the World Records. TeamAU attacked 3DMark05 head on by rolling out a GTX 1080 card plus an i7 6700K to score a World Record 84,857 marks. Well done Carl! The second World Record of the day was actually somewhat short lived with a Unigine Heaven (Xtreme Preset) score of 10,413.28 DX11 Marks made with a pair of GTX 1080 cards and a 6700K. Just hours later however, World No.1 Dancop made a score of 10,448.51 DX11 Marks using the same hardware.

All scores and submission were of course made using a GIGABYTE X99 SOC Champion motherboard. Well done to team GIGABYTE. Keep pushing.
