SteveRo commented on his own score:
Ok so this is not an E7 2860 but one X5687 (four cores) and one E5645 (six cores) when combined on an SR-2 is - yes - ten cores! I think this should be a legit submission for ten cores but certainly not as an E7 – perhaps a moderator could please create a new category? Maybe something like "X5687/E5645" - as one cpu type (for use on SR-2)? Let me know - I will delete this and resubmit under a more proper cpu name, thanks! :)

That's an interesting way to get 10 cores. I'm just curious, why does cpu-z show it as two E5620's? Is it just messing up because of the weird cpu combo?
SteveRo says:
^^ look in the cpuz "specification" line
dhenzjhen says:
looks awesome!! now I gotta run 16 cores x 3 total of 48 cores hehe!!
Gluvocio says:
smart idea very nice combo solution

This is so awesome, Steve! I like it as a member, I cry as a staff member ...
SteveRo says:
^^ could we get away with just one cpu category - something like maybe: sr-2 "Mutt" ?? :)
Hondacity says:
you'll be fun to catch up to stevero awesome runs
S_A_V says:
Nice find Steve
No need to add some special CPU categories.
Add one check in result submit code: if multi-socket board specified then show extra CPU fields (CPU2, CPU3, CPU4 - based on which board specified).
Then result goes for best CPU category like when mixed VGA used (based on which CPU specified in CPU1 field).
SteveRo says:
^^ does the bot s/w know it's 10x cpu though?
TaPaKaH says:
I'll laugh if the same is possible with 4+ socket server boards meaning you can have 7/9/11/13/14/15/17/18/etc cores for wprime
SteveRo says:
^^ yes but their won't be much incentive to make the runs if they are only worth 10 points each
