Strat says:
Please guys show us a 3DMark 03
Phil says:
I don't have a decent cpu at the moment for 03 and haven't tested if new drivers work ok on XP.
matose says:
Great score but that card is under NDA until 9 January
AMDnord says:
which card? the "asus" 7970?
great job phil
Phil says:
I payed for my card,so no NDA for me
hokiealumnus says:
Wow, 3K broken. Great job!
Masterchief79 says:
Damn nice! Looking forward to some 3,5k scores under LN2
Dancop says:
I think 3.5 is possible under water...looking forward to 09.01.
Rbuass says:
I think Matose tell you that you and few 4 or 5 guys have opportunity to get the card ...thats not launched yet...
Anyway....great score;;;;
Let us know about LN2 results and congratz.
Gautam says:
I thought there's no NDA...just a soft launch with the cards late to market.
debs3759 says:
Nice score! Makes me want to order a couple
mortisboy says:
There's no NDA!! as i know card purchased from a local computer store.
chefbenito says:
You guys need to be running version 2.5 not this custom 1.0.3
Massman says:
Why?
Rbuass says:
Yes... everybody is wrong and only you are correct....
Let's all follow you
Bob80 says:
And finally 3K !
chefbenito says:

Fixed minor content glitches
Added a user manual
Improved an installer for Windows
"
I guess I can assume that you are running 19x10 also because there is no rez. mentioned in your validation "screenshots".
chefbenito says:
But keep testing an ancient version of Heaven and patting yourselves on the back for not actually running full DX11. No "customized" or "altered" versions of Heaven 2.5 should be considered valid.
hokiealumnus says:
AMD reference card NDA was released 12/22/11. Partner cards are still {supposed to be} under NDA until 1/9/12, which is why I'm surprised ASUS let Shammy & Andre loose so early. Not that I'm arguing, these results are awesome to see; but by the letter of the law we aren't supposed to see anything other than AMD reference until next Monday.
Now, with phil getting his card at retail, that's between him and his store whether he should be doing this.
Galio says:
great score phil looking forward for higher !
Gamer says:
Just ordered 2 of these

Will be delivered on monday 5am
Hiwa says:

chefbenito says:
"its the official hwbot bench"
This doesn't mean anything. it is a modified/custom and outdated version of someone else's benchmark. there is nothing official about it. Validation "screen shots" do not show resolution or benchmark settings. What AA/AF is used? 19x10 or 19x12? Not to mention this is based on Heaven 2.1 which does not use the latest SSAO/SSDO technology. So run your "officially" modded, watered down version of 2.1 and have fun comparing with each other. Everyone else on every other site will continue to use the newest version with the most demanding technology. Taking away advanced AO gives any system a nice jump in FPS so enjoy it but you can't claim any "records" or "1st place" on anything because you aren't actually running the real benchmark. I am really surprised to have to help explain this to so many people. Obviously 3k on a single gpu would not have been broken with 2.5 and there would be nothing to celebrate. Quite simply, modified or custom versions of official benchmarks do NOT yield official results. I am sure they are fine for your community here but don't be surprised if nobody else takes them seriously. Go research SSAO/SSDO and Dynamic Light Scattering and get back to me on how official this 2.1 mod is. BTW. the 7970 takes a 61% hit in performance in extreme mode (19x12) in the real Heaven 2.5 vs. 48% for a 1.5g GTX 580 and 55% for a 560ti 2Win. source: http://pcper.com/image/view/9207?return=node%2F53050
Gamer says:
Only Belgium and the Netherlands.
Massman says:
Ok, thanks for your approval! :celebration:
hokiealumnus says:
Wow, chefbenito really takes his benchmark versions seriously, doesn't he? I suppose we should all stop running any 3DMark except 11 and, well, any CPU benchmark on the bot?
chefbenito says:
Hokielamnus, I like to run the latest benchmarks on my system to test their modern day performance. I also check out the CSS fps test and even run Lost Coast. If we are testing DX11 in Unigine Heaven, why wouldn't you want to run the 2.5 with all the sexy DX11 enabled? Do you run the Crysis Benchmark at Medium Settings @ 800x600? It is of course ideal to run a number of system benchmarks to get a handle on overall performance. As a reader I still can't tell at what rez and what AA/AF settings are considered "XTREME" in this customized benchmark. Which is, as I've said, is the reason you always run the most up to date official benchmarks, so people like me know what you actually did. 19x10? 19x12? 720p?
chefbenito says:
BTW Phil that is a sick UD5 build you've got phased out and it is a fantastic run, which is why i'd like to see that system shred 2.5. I've got my 2600k hovering at 5.3 with Mega's on my z68xUD7 and am glad the Bios OC issues are worked out, nice work!

Bringing the ghetto back, love it PHIL!
