Let's boot at 9GHz!

Quotes that catch my attention: "i got a giggle when they attempted booting at 9GHz lol". For those who have no idea what the user is talking about: in the same session of which we posted the 7.3GHz CPU-Z result earlier this week, Duck showed off his Core i5 setup booting at 9.1GHz.

Did it explode ? :D

Whats K-Boost?

Sweden Calathea says:

Maybe this is slightly exaggerated, we all know the difference beteween post and boot stable. 7.3 in windows is much more impressive :)

TaPaKaH says:

I haven't tested this board, but some boards apply overclock settings (be it multiplier or FSB/HTT/BCLK) only somewhere while booting the OS, hence you can get those ridicilous n GHz POST screenies

Brazil hotnikQ says:

Oh Rly? There is not any chip ''cober + silicon chip'' can breaking the capacitance barrier of 8GHz....

9GHz POST is for kids :D http://forums.xtremelabs.org/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=202&start=500

:D

Dreadlockyx says:

48GHz. :O

Belgium jmke says:

exactly; POST doesn't mean much ;p

Dreadlockyx says:

Oh I didn't know that. :P

Russian Federation Antinomy says:

ECS 965P-A shows frequency divided by 4. The FSB is shown correctly but the multi, possibly is bugged because of a mistake using QPB instead of FSB for multi calculation, so it's 2,5x on E4400. On TiN's screen the board multiplies CPU frequency by multiplier.

kikicoco1334 says:

nice try tho.. i'd do the same if i had one =p

France Blackwarriors says:

http://pc-overware.be/blackwarriors/Overclocking/23ghz.JPG in super pi 32m, super pi finish the frequency is normal income lol

Dreadlockyx says:

1450MHz of FSB. xD
