OGS (Greece) Wins GIGABYTE Summer Spectacular Contest, Plus Prize Draw Winners

The curtain just came down on GIGABYTE’s third Overclocking contest of the 2017 season, the GIGABYTE Summer Spectacular. The contest ended just days ago with Greek overclocker OGS taking the Extreme category win and Australian KaRtA taking the Ambient category win. Both take home some awesome prizes. Let’s take a look at all the standings, the scores, the submissions and the prizes that GIGABYTE have in store for the winners.

GIGABYTE Summer Spectacular Contest: May 1st - 31st 2017

The GIGABYTE Summer Spectacular contest is the latest in a series of overclocking contests sponsored by GIGABYTE and hosted on OC-ESPORTS. The concept behind the contest is to make it as accessible as possible for overclockers of all budgets. For this reason affordable CPUs and GPUs were selected as the hardware needed to compete.

Ambient and Extreme Prize Pools

To further the idea of inclusiveness and make things more exciting to non-extreme, sub-zero overclockers, GIGABYTE are offering prizes for both Ambient and Extreme contest categories. Although, Extreme and Elite overclockers will feature at the top of the table in each stage, the highest scoring Ambient category scores will come from HWBOT members who belong to Rookie, Novice and Enthusiast leagues.

Congratulations to the winners!! I think there is some mistake in the lucky draw prize. According to the Rules "To be eligible for the lucky draw, participants must submit in all stages of the competition."

Australia KaRtA says:

Thanks Gigabyte and the HWbot team for a fun comp. Was a great opportunity to have a crack at some benchmarks I've never run. Congratulations to all the winners. Everyone did a great job. FYI: Dark Venom has a point there. I know participation was low, but...........
