Z97 Up For Sale At Newegg - USD $200 For MPower, USD $150 for UD3H, USD $250 for Sabertooth (Update: also in Taiwan and UK)

Even though the NDA for performance reviews is not up for another week or so, it appears Newegg has listed the first batch of Z97 motherboards. We can find the following models:

Motherboard Price
MSI Z97 MPower Max AC USD $260
ASUS Sabertooth Z97 USD $250
MSI MPower USD $200
MSI Z97-Gaming 7 USD $190
MSI Z97-Gaming 5 USD 160
GIGABYTE Z97X-UD3H USD $150
ASUS Z97-A USD $150

I am not sure who has what NDA date, but this has certainly been one of the messiest platform launches in a while. Which is funny, considering that Z97 is only a minor update from Z87. In any case, the pricing seems very competitive and it might be so that the motherboard vendors want to cash in on the early adopters as fast as possible. All I know is that I am more looking forward to the upcoming Devil's Canyon and Pentium Anniversary Edition.

Update: it seems like NewEgg has unlisted the boards and they are no longer visible on the website. In other news, Coldest reported that some Z97 boards are now also on sale in Taiwan. Check out the screenshot on the right hand side. On the site we can find:

Pieter, got a lead on that Z97 Supermicro product you've got in the database? I know they made an Z87, but I've not seen any word on a Supermicro one.

hmmm should i tell them about this suggestion, slightly concerned someone might take it seriously lol

K404 says:

Gigabyte released every Z97 board except the one that has a reason to buy it.

So far, Z97 feels like nothing but a cash-in.

Canada Trouffman says:

@Der8auer : I guess the price will be $999 then :D

Belgium Massman says:

Saw them in Guang Hua computer market on the shelves. I believe Intel gave up on the NDA for everyone now since the Z97 story has spun out of control anyway.
