hwbot engine updated: competition throne holder, motherboard hardware awards added.

Last night, we installed a new hwbot engine. It’s a weekly update so no major new features enabled, but we did want to share the following features:

Competitions: time holding the throne
To encourage people to submit their benchmark results early, and not a few minutes before closing time, we now display how long the throne holder has been in his position. While it’s purely informational, it is nice to know whether the winner has been unchallenged for weeks, or whether he used a backup score during the competition and submitted his best effort at the last minute.

When the competition is closed:

Motherboards: show hardware awards
With the introduction of motherboard and chipset info pages last week, we showed the amount of global overclocking records where achieved using a specific motherboard. As no world records are being broken with old hardware, and it’s interesting to know which motherboard for an old architecture is the best, we now show the hardware awards achieved too.

Engine speed optimization
We improved the caching mechanism and removed bot scanning related code, so HWBot should load noticeable faster now.
