Just what I needed and more.

I cannot sing enough praise for this product. I always buy Corsair Memory, usually Vengence but I have an oversized air cooler and i knew I couldnt get Vengence memory with its fins in my left memory slot due to the cooler size. So I decided to try this memory and what the heck it was almost 50 dollars cheaper. The reason that the trident memory attracted my attention was its ingenius removable top fin. I took that sucker off a dimm and it fit in that left slot wonderfully giving me 32gb of memory. I fired my computer up and went to bios and noticed it was running at 1333mhz. No problem, unlike some reviewers here I know that memory over 1600mhz does not usually SPD at its top rated speed. I clicked on memory speed in my Asus bios and set it for 2400MHZ and saved and went to windows and I was running at 2400MHZ flawlessly I might add. I havent tried to go beyond 2400MHZ but im pretty confident it will overclock beyond that. Dont beleive any reviewer who says their memory wont operate at 2400mhz. There is only two reasons why they cant. One is they dont know they have to set the speed in bios and expect it to SPD at 2400MHZ. My motherboard manual told me that, Yes I read the manual. If you bother to read the manual if its Asus anyway it will tell you it will SPD at a lower speed. The second reason is the motherboard doesnt operate at 2400mhz memory. It may just not be capable of it or it just requires a bios motherboard in any case neither of these reasons is the fault of the product. It the fault of the purchasers lack of knowledge and understanding of his computer. I have found nothing wrong with this memory and it continues to operate at 2400MHZ without a flaw. If that changes i will report it. Now my system build:

Amazing RAM for performance driven people like me

This RAM is amazing. I bought 2 sticks for my custom built machine and I haven't regretting it at all. Below are my thoughts after 13 months of use:

Pro's:
1) Super fast and easy to install
2) Easily overclocked and the RAM remains stable even when overclocked
3) Shortened my boot time from 26 seconds to 17 seconds and that's from me pushing the power button o me surfing the internet believe it or not.(when coupled with Intel SSD Rapid Start, boot time dropped to 11 secs)
4) Very reliable so far with no major issues
5) The latency timing (10-12-12-31) was among the best I could find in RAM from Amazon to Newegg to Dell but that's really diving down in the specs and goes above what the average user has to worry about.

Con's:
1) Is pretty expensive for RAM
2) RAM is unnecessarily large and could do without the red design on the top of the sticks

Overall, I love this RAM and I plan on buying another 2 sticks when I get the money.

I have been running 2 8Gb sticks of this memory for about 2 years now, using the XMP profile to obtain the rated 2400 MHz at 10-12-12 timings. Absolutely no problems whatsoever, either with initial installation or ongoing use. I recently purchased the exact same kit (2 x 8 Gb) to bump the memory capability from 16 Gb to 32 Gb. I was worried that these two unmatched sets might not work well together to remain at 2400 MHz, or the chip's (4970k) memory controller might not be up to the task. So, stuck the new sticks in, went into bios to set the XMP profile, and booted her up. The computer had no issues at all and Task Manager showed all 32 Gb. Did a quick, informal memory stress test using Intel stress program - memory passed. Couldn't have been easier, and I couldn't be happier! Kudos again Gskill !

This is my first build and even though Asus doesn't have the Motherboard listed as 2400mhz capable I went with them anyways cause I was planning on upgrading the mobo later on to a Crossfire V Formula Z. But to my surprise the new BIOS can handle 2400mhz and all that needs to be done is set it in the BIOS in advanced settings and it'll be good to go. I've been using it at 2400mhz and the rest of the setting the BIOS in auto and they've been working great with no hiccups or lock up whatsoever.

And to boot they go well with the black/red theme I'm going with... just need to get that Crossfire Mobo to complete it >_< My current build:

I got this ram on a whim as I was feeling the upgrade bug bite me. I was not disappointed it performs flawlessly on my 4790k rig...install, check XMP profile in bios, and boot to perfect stability. I have the cpu overclocked to 4.7ghz and running ChrisPC Windows experience on windows 10 (I know windows experience is a horrible gauge of performance) But it brought my memory up to a nice even 8.6 score along with my CPU. Funny thing is my 256gb raid-0 ssd setup is now the slowest thing in my rig. It overclocks very nicely as well..but @ looser timings of course.

Overall I feel it was money well spent.

I am getting a really solid OC performance out of this system. The XMP profile works well in the motherboard and could 2400Mhz in dual channel without any issues.
