I have noted it in the past, I have made strong criticism of this garbage submissions, I have reported them, but NOBODY is interested.

Agree with you guys, why give out prizes, really nice prizes, when it seems clear the rules are being broken, and not enforced.

Agree with you guys. Enthusiast league is filled with people with chillers & stuff. Feel sorry for the "real" enthusiast guys who have to compete with these people using regular water cooling.
If these people had balls, they'd move to Extreme league.
Even in rookies and novices, he applied the same methods, never rejected : mass of 360 rads in salted ice. Nothing new.
And he is really good at searching efficiency.
Sincerely doubt this could be accomplished even with ICE dipped rads.
Has to be a chiller of some kind.
I know he is a really good tweaker, I don't question his efficiency, I question his cooling.

There is a lot of impossible in that comp. I think the mods need a good look, especially at the chips doing 5.2-5.3 @ 1.6v+, would be very hard to keep at the temps they have. Mine at 4.9 hits 80 with delid, CLU, 1.52v and 20deg idle.
Not calling you out nvidia, just some scores, not just yours seem off. Very good score and efficiency though, however you managed to cool it.
For all who criticize Nvf =>
Just take a look on the top3 screen of the Stages 2 and 3. I see some Monster Vcore like 1.7V+ How is it possible with a simple water cooling ?? Even with liquid pro, you just can't handle that king of voltages.... So, Instead of bombarding NVF,watch around...
The question wasn't just on NVf, more aimed at all those running the same, it's not sustainable at what they have submitted.

@Nik : You can't compare 2chip. Pentium or Celeron can't reach 8G, and after many CPU, someone find @8Ghz chip... 8G is not easy, but then, someone find 8.2 chip, and then 8.4 chip... Same with all generation, REALLY good ivy did 7Ghz cpu-z, and then someone find 7Ghz+ 32m and 7.1 1M... same with haswell vivi got golden cpu, then Dancop find GEM... If you can run 5.2, some chip can probably run 5.3

But with the amount of rad space you demonstrated in that video, it can't be brought to 18C with ICE bucket. So you are using a chiller or something else.
In conclusion, that video proved nothing.

Funny those discussions come up again and again. There are already so many threads around here and every new questionable results raises the question if enthusiast league just has bad rules or is in general redundant.
Personally I see no point in enthusiast league. I think it just stops people trying out extreme cooling methods cause they fear loosing their position in enthusiast ranking. Also we all have some different understanding what an enthusiast actually is...
When I look back, I see nvidia made outstanding results with haswell too. He has some excellent tweaking skills, but we all know if you have a bad CPU all your skills are useless. (Except you are a wizard turning bad silicon into outstanding one.)
What does that mean? You already guess it: Binning. And for me this is extreme and thats why enthusiast league is a joke.
If someone is using a chiller in enthusiast league you are breaking the rules but the simple truth is: Who can check if someone is using a chiller or if he/her just opens a windows because he/her lives in Siberia? If its really cold out there you can actually can go way below -10°C in your loop. What would u say if someone tells you that he cools his PC with -15°C cold water/alcohol/freeze protection? Wouldnt you say "Wow, thats kinda extreme!" ??
The question for competitions is, are we all playing fair? How do we enforce the rules? Can we at all?
I personally would wish, if someone is playing with ice buckets he should show it on the picture because he has to show his _whole_ system. And I think ice buckets are an essential part. Given the fact that this is about $$$ in those competitions we should be all a little bit more sensitive to such things.
The arrogance and lack of wanting to show fully makes it look more like he is hiding simething. If you have nothing to hide, then show us all to shut us up. Appreciate the video.
Also, comp is messed up. Rules tab in esport states min temp, discussion tab has max temp >20. Not your fault, which leaves this open to the moderators to decide.
This vid seems to show things better, hwbot makes the rules but on this particular subject are very unclear. When I was in Novice I was told I could use ice bucket but not chiller. The rules for league need a solid foundation and this needs to be carried into all comps. There has got to be a league standard so in the future things are as obvious as a homerun (without fan interaction) . It's not really up to me to judge anyones ethics and wish rules were more clear cut and this is why on the last day of being in novice I decided to skip Enthusiast and jump to Extreme. I knew that I wanted unrestricted access to squeezing performance from my hardware, and also realized that if you want to become more involved in this industry and possibly attract sponsors etc. that being #1 in the US in enthusiast won't get you there but being top 10 in your country might. I may not be running ln2 every week, and still enjoy benching w my rad hanging out my window this time of year... all while not worrying about breaking rules. It's nice to know I can dip my rads in buckets of dice if that's what i want to do .
One ? though, is using slow mode for XTU legit, I thought in a previous comp we were told the cpu frequency line in the graph had to be visible and remain constant
I take my rig outside to my van sometimes in winter, lowest ambient temp so far 2 degrees C as you have to be out there with it I don't fancy being colder.
I grew up in a 200 year old farm house with no heating and once had -10 degrees C in my bedroom, would I have had to wait until spring to be an enthusiast overclocker?
My idle temp with Sempron 145 and a large fan blasting the heat sink is just under 20 degrees.
I've run benches inside first with exact same hardware and found the drop in temps is worth roughly 2 - 3 mhz on the BLK so not a major difference. I thought the enthusiast league was all about keeping cost down and things simple so a novice doesn't run as big a risk of damaging hardware if they make a mistake.
I want to try a TEC cooler but don't know what I'm doing and would rather have someone show me how to set one up before doing it myself. I don't want to rely 100% on the internet and wreck my hardware as I only bench kit I use (or have used) in my own gaming rigs or occasionally bits from rigs I am building for other people. I can't afford to replace fried parts.
Somebody call nvidiaforever out to a live competition.
If they had them where I live I'd love to take part, even just going head to head with one person either with my own rig or some pre selected binned parts would be good fun. For me that is where it's at if overclocking ever gets big enough.
The great thing about live head to head competition is there is nowhere to hide.
