HWBOT Prime 1.0.1 released
HWBOT Prime has been given a long overdue update today. Fetch version 1.0.1 while it's hot here.
Noticable changes:
- clock adjustment cheat detection
- compatible with Java 8, 9, 10, 11 without tweaks. Java 7 and lower support has been dropped.
- support for a "stability test", aka HWBOT Prime 30min, which searches for the highest prime number in 30 minutes. The highest found after 30 minutes is your benchmark score.
Update 1.0.1:
- remove dependency of javasysmon library as many windows machines seem to have problems with it.
If found stable and better protected against cheats, we might reconsider disabling points for HWBOT Prime when revision 8 launches later this week. The android version if HWBOT prime has not yet given an overhaul.

Can't say I'm happy about the choice of benchmark to fix, but it's good to see things getting fixed.

Did you try to run as admin?
The source of HWBOT Prime is under our control, so it's the easiest to fix.
Can you please run the benchmark via command line and tell me the output:
Any chance of having it check against HPET to make it useable on 8/8.1/10? Or is that what the fix was already?
First thing I attempted, however right click doesn't have run as admin option.

The batch file is not working for me with W7 or W10 (run as admin of course). I also tried to run the command via admin CMD but it has the same result, it will not launch and CMD closes. However, I can run the .jar file without the batch file and all is good...but perhaps it needs to be run via batch file for 'cheat detection'??
It scales with memory a little bit, but ultimately its an epic bad slot machine ?

As you can see, real-time priority stabilizes the score but ultimately it doesn't produce as the highest runs.
not working on winxp (0.83 version working fine)
after intalling JRE 9ea+107 the cmd window opens and immediately closes and the GUI doesn't run. Previously had JRE 8u191 and it worked fine although the the checksum result after uploading was "invalid" and the result did not show up in the results for the CPU used (Core i7 4600U) but has a gold cup with the result being 1st out of 1. Uploading a result from 0.8.3 was fine: http://hwbot.org/submission/4030594_cbjaust_hwbot_prime_core_i7_4600u_3721.32_pps/ and it shows up normally in the rankings for i7 4600U CPUs.
Edit: nevermind, uninstalling JRE8 stuffed up the paths in windows and the java couldn't be found. Adding the path to java in the batch file fixed it.
For oldschool need Java7 :0 is it possible to add this support?

I've updated the java sysmon library but it seems to give issues on some windows machines. I'm going to revert the change.
I've made a new build which does not rely on javasysmon library, which is the cause of errors for @skulstation and @bigblock990

Can I suggest we reopen the upload page for HWBot prime as a seperate v 1.0+ benchmark and have it as a finite beta period. After which time all results are removed the database. This would allow for people to run the benchmark and for us to upload results to better find bugs and abnormalities. Also being clear up front that all results from the beta period will be cleared means we won't have any potentially bugged runs in the database after such time is over and people can't complain when the results are removed.

It looks to me like in both @bigblock990 and @skulstation's cases there was a 64 bit .dll being called but there are both using 32 bit Windows...

I follow your reasoning @ObscureParadox but v1.0.1 is a tiny bit slower (due to cheat detection), not faster. As long as there are no algorithm changes I don't see a good reason to go through a beta period, same for the other benches.
Well we at least need some sort of clean up on the results already on the system if we are to eventually give the benchmark points again. So making it a seperate benchmark at least is the easiest and cleanest way of doing it imho.

Direct upload to HWBOT thru "analyze on HWBOT". All seems normal.
If @richba5tard you are certain that it is bulletproof, give it points.
But clear up old "problematic" submissions first, of older highly cheatable versions.

Tell me please in the new HWBOTPrime 1.x.x will be planned support for Java 7 or not? And will there be a division of this test into two versions, according to the principle of the Cinebench, for example 2003, 11.5, 15? After all, this multi-threaded test is very good for comparing the performance of old systems where Java 8 is simply not installed.
What to do with the old systems? Why not left Java 7 ?
Which old systems do not support java 8? I'll add java 7 compatibility if I must.

Fix the off line saved subs. They all read invalid when you sub them.
Started a thread about an invalid issue I'm having, then saw this thread.
I did go ahead and download 1.0.2 and will try that shortly.
v1.02 still not working with winxp and java 8
wow @ the variability...slot machine comparison is 100% correct.
Today I have tried v.1.0.2 on WinXP with Java7, it is doesn't work
but with 0.8.3 all is ok. When I click on 1.0.2 nothing happened see screen with task manager.
v.1.0.2 working fine here and, yes, it's still a slot machine. I think that part of the algorithm wasn't changed from 0.8.3.
Java 8+ requires Vista or later so really old systems which are limited to Windows XP are excluded
