K|ngp|n Breaks 35,000 Points in 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme With 4x GTX 980 Ti at 1900/2100

It's that time of the year again as K|ngp|n fires up a full four-way liquid nitrogen cooled world-record destroying super-machine. K|ngp|n is widely know for his many, many top spots in the latest 3DMark benchmarks. His HWBOT profile currently lists the Global First Place in 3DMark Fire Strike, Fire Strike Extreme and Unigine Heaven Xtreme as well as the World Record in 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme.

For today's 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme World Record, K|ngp|n uses an Intel Xeon E5 1660 V3 Haswell-E processor clocked at 5812 MHz, cooled by liquid nitrogen, and paired with a 16GB G.SKILL Ripjaws V DDR4 memory kit. The four GeForce GTX 980 Ti K|ngp|n Edition graphics cards are clocked at 1900 MHz GPU frequency and 2103 MHz memory frequency and are also cooled by liquid nitrogen. With 35067 marks, K|ngp|n has a 947 point lead over 8 Pack from United Kingdom and 1351 points over Xtreme Addict from Poland in the Hall of Fame.

For the World Record K|ngp|n has LOD enabled, but to prove it's possible to get competitive results without LOD enabled (as per Futuremark rules), he also submitted a score of 34,252 points yesterday. Still enough to top second place 8 Pack by a couple of points margin.
