Greece Grabs Win in Stage #1 ("3DMark11 Trinity Full Out") of Country Cup 2012

The Country Cup is getting near the closing phase as the first stage finished yesterday. In Stage 1, "3DMark11 Trinity Full Out", overclockers had to represent their country using the latest AMD Trinity platform trying to set the highest possible 3DMark11 score. No limitation on the amount of graphics cards, meaning you can compare the performance result to the one of a highly overclocked Sandy Bridge-E or Ivy Bridge. Greece, represented by Aristidis, managed to set the highest score with 14528 points. The CPU was clocked at 5.88GHz and 3 HD 7970 graphics cards were clocked to 1220/1800 MHz using stock coolers. Xtreme Addict secured second place for Poland, lkozarov 3rd for Bulgaria.

The most impressive system of the stage was definitely Xtreme Addict's. Four LN2 pots were used to cool down both the CPU and the three HD 7970 graphics cards. Nice!

Congratulations to the winners, see you all in two days for the wrap-up of stages 2 and 3.
