MSI Master Overclocking Arena Grand Final, October 7th, Taipei, Taiwan

Booj's presenting his pre-MOA write-up in which he goes over the details of the event: who, what, where, when, and so on. A nice read!

It's a great time of the year to be a sports fan. We've got the rugby world cup, footy finals and of course the MSI Master Overclocking Arena grand final to be held on October 7th in Taipei, Taiwan! I am very proud and thrilled to have been invited by MSI to cover the event for the folks at OCAU.

MSI's prestigious Master Oveclocking Arena tournament is held annually. Overclockers from all around the world compete in a series of national and regional qualifiers, representing themselves, their teams and their countries, competing for a place in the world final and a shot at winning the prestigious title. This year's event is shaping up to be the biggest yet. Flying the flag for Australia and New Zealand are Uncle Fester and Deanzo, both are of course TeamAU members and are highly respected and ranked members of the global OC community. Both are highly placed in the Pro overclockers league at hwbot. The pairing of Uncle Fester and Deanzo makes for a very strong team. The boys are confident and will be very competitive.

Deanzo has been ranked in the top 10 of the professional overclockers league for many months and is one of the most experienced competitors at this years final. Deanzo is a seasoned competition competitor and knows what it takes to win a live tournament. Uncle Fester is also experienced at competition overclocking having competed strongly in last years GOOC tournament. UF has extensive experience with GTX580 overclocking and is a SuperPi expert.

The head judge for this years event is legendary Italian overclocker Giorgioprimo. The event is being held at the National Taiwan University Sports Center located in the center of Taipei City.
