ASRock 9 Series OC Competition

ASRock Intel 9 Series OC Competition challenges worldwide overclockers to submit the highest 3DMark – Fire Strike and 3DMark2001 SE score. The competition is co-organized by HWBOT, and sponsored by Antec, Crucial, and Palit. The competition duration is from October 20th to December 1st.

The competition is open to all overclockers using ASRock X99 and Z97 series motherboards. In addition to the two overall winners in 3DMark – Fire Strike and 3DMark2001 SE score overclocking, prizes will be awarded to the top scoring entry in every bi-week of the six-week contest. The final champion of each event will be awarded with a top prize with $2,800 dollars value.

Any entry that breaks the Global First Place will be awarded with an additional $500USD cash prize. If the participants use products from Antec, Crucial, or Palit to break the Global First Place, the winner will receive an extra $300USD from each partner. Use ASRock and partners’ products to break the Global First Place to get an extra $1400USD!

3DMark - Fire Strike


  • Competition Duration: 2014/10/20 11:00 am (GMT+8) ~2014/12/01 11:00am (GMT+8)
  • The final winner will be announced at 2014/12/04 11:00(GMT+8) on ASRock official microsite and HWBOT website.
  • Entry period runs from October 20th, 11 am GMT+8 to December 1st, 11am GMT+8, divided into 3 bi-weekly periods.
  • The period of uploading score is as below:
    • 10/20 11:00am-11/03 11:00am (GMT+8)
    • 11/03 11:01 am- 11/17 11:00am (GMT+8)
    • 11/17 11:01 am- 12/01 11:00am (GMT+8)
  • Any participants who break the record of the 3DMark - Fire Strike single GPU score will be awarded with an additional $500USD; if the participants use products from Antec, Crucial, or Palit to break the global category first place, the winner will receive an extra $300USD from each partner. For instance, use ASRock, Antec, Crucial, and Palit products to break the global category first place, the winner will be awarded with total an extra $1400USD. (only for overall champion)


Contest Rules


  • Participants only can use ASRock X99 Series Motherboard
  • This category is open to all 3DMark - Fire Strike users, only for single GPU graphic card
  • Must use the Fire Strike preset, highest 3DMark - Fire Strike score wins
  • Must use commercially available components. Engineering sample hardware is not allowed
  • Participants must add a system desktop screenshot with all the software windows from the screenshot example
  • No limit to number of entries, try as many times as you want to win!
  • Bi-weekly prizes are awarded to the highest scoring contestants during that week
  • Each contestant is only eligible to win 1 prize. Grand prize or weekly, no repeat winners
  • If a contestant qualifies for multiple prizes, he/she will win the Grand Prize or the first weekly prize he/she qualified for
  • All prizes will pass to the next contestants in score order who is not yet qualified to win any prizes
  • HWBOT and ASRock reserve the right to reject any entry
  • Entries must not be marked private and validated to be eligible for prizes for top scores
  • Any 3DMark - Fire Strike versions are allowed, System Info must be enabled for verifying the system specs.
  • All the prizes will be shipped to the winner within 30 days from ASRock and each hardware sponsor.
  • ASRock reserves the right to change the rules during the competition.
