Areca 1882ix raid controller with 4 MaxIOPs
Well done! Did you use the onboard storage controller or pcie? Also, if not too much trouble - we are encouraging top scorers to include a picture of their rig, please do so if you can. Congrats on the bronze! :)
Updated for you, Steve. Used an Areca raid controller :)
Great storage setup! How much cache on the 1882?
2GB effective, haven't found a 4GB stick of RAM that the Areca will detect as 4GB. It either detects them as half, or it won't detect them at all. One of our teammates contacted Areca, who tried to work on the card but ended up bricking it - his card was RMA'd as a result and he's waiting to get it back.
Don was over my place last weekend for a team benching session. :)
