12th CPU to hit 8GHz is still lucky. I've bought over 80 and had only three 8GHz'ers. Gatman bought lots as well and his best is only 7.6

did it a couple of times - never helped to achieve more MHz

if you want to get 8ghz - what PSU did you use for 7.9?

TPQ-1200, commando with just droop and core mods. Going to try with higher vcore, pic of IHS to come

TPQ is good enough, in case you hit some hard FSB wall (like 7.9 suicide, bus 32M runs at 7.8) then switching PSUs may help a lot (up to 500MHz difference)
