X58 Motherboard Roundup - July 2010

Amazingly, each of the tested boards received TWO awards and none of them scored less than 8/10. In fact, three mainboards went home with a solid 10/10 score ... amazing!

So, what did the performance testing section of this review tell us? Well the main finding is that each of the X58 motherboards we tested today offers great performance in pretty much every task. There are some where the Rampage 3 Extreme scores best, such as the video encoding. In others it's the UD9, for example overclocking and the MSI XPower offered good gaming performance. ASRock also impressed us with their USB 3 and SATA 6GB/s performance.

This means that the choice of board will likely come down to two areas for each consumer, price and features. So what does each board offer on these categories?

Belgium Massman says:

Oh boy, looks like we have to be generous with awards ...

Belgium jmke says:

and no real testing regarding OC performance; at least this reviewer here knows how to properly test enthusiast motherboards AND he doesn't give each and every board an "award" just "because" begint het nog niet te kriebelen om een serieuze test te doen? ;-)

Belgium Massman says:

Yes, I have the review itch. Sadly enough, and in dispite me sending a request to the Belgian government to change it, a day still counts only 24 hours. Next time, I will vote for someone who will change the amount of hours in one day!

United States Hondacity says:

God 36hrs per day please.... Amen

Australia Dinos22 says:

24hours sounds OK to me don't change it please :D

interesting finding with the waterblock installed on UD9
