Sweden Rauf says:

Why do hwbot still promote this? This is surely the most cheated competition/ranking ever...
I'd be very surprised if half of the scores are legit.

Time to scrap all cheatable benchmarks and rankings.

Australia unityofsaints says:

You mean due to downclocking before SS?

Sweden Rauf says:

Yes

Sounds to me someone is butt hurt and do you have proof of this said cheating or are you just talking shit?

Sweden Rauf says:

Typical respons here on hwbot... ignorant and rude.

Romania suzuki says:

Why no 4790k in the list ?

And calling people cheaters is defamation of character not to mention the hwbot rules that disallow such claims without proof

Rule Update #7 - It is not allowed to publicly, falsely accuse a user of foul play. In case of false accusations the accuser may see their account temporarily or permanently suspended. Foul play is interpreted in the broadest sense of the word.

Canada Valkyrie says:

Knowing what my Ivy core can do, without access to the best RAM available, I think Splave's result is very plausible. Accepting that, I have to say the succeeding generation scores are also plausible. I don't get why anyone would come out with accusations of cheating on this challenge. Is it possible someone is backing off a few MHz before a screenshot? I suppose it is, but it is very unlikely based on the relative standings. The whole point of a clock limited challenge is to test yourself and if you cheat, who are you cheating?

Brazil Casanova says:

Tbh, i don't think any of these guys cheated, BUT it can be easily verified by just measuring the time loops. Cheating this is easy, just start the bench at 5ghz and after 3 or 4 loops raise the clock via software to something like 6ghz and near the last loops downclock back to 5ghz and screenshot like nothing happened.

This.

You would have to crave attention and respect if you were to cheat at this, given SuperPi's holy grail reputation.

Sweden Calathea says:

Is the no 1 Coffee Lake legit, surprised to see win 10? http://hwbot.org/submission/3710701_

Brazil Casanova says:

Sadly there is no bench 100% cheat proof, the only way would be a video of the bench running, and, tbh, i really think there should be a video proof requirement for the top 5 best overclockers from each elite, extreme, apprentice, enthusiast and novice leagues.
