Updated with Hicookie's scores. We removed the reference of the MSI motherboard after they published misleading information concerning the Core i7-8700K CPU Frequency hardware first place.

What kind of misleading info did they give?

If I had to guess, in this news release they made, they listed the record as 'CPU Frequency World Record at 7405Mhz'.

While it is indeed the fastest 8700K as of now (a 'Hardware First Place' ), it's is NOT a CPU Frequency 'World Record' . Per HWBOT nomenclature found here,CPU Frequency World Record is still held by TheStilt's 8722Mhz AMD FX-8370.

Ahh clear. But on MSI social media they wrote 'Z370 CPU Frequency World Record', specifically mentioning a socket/generation. Bit of a grey area wouldn't you agree?
