Most Valuable Submission of Week 36, 2017: Gold for Splave (US), K|ngp|n (US), Luumi (FI) and Ev0lv3 (US)

In Week 36 of 2017, we received 4140 benchmark results from 949 registered overclockers around the world. The majority of the submissions is coming from Rookie overclockers representing 60% of the active community. They were responsible for 39% of the submissions. We had a peek at the most valuable submissions in a breakdown per league.

During Week 36 of 2017 four overclockers who made the Most Valuable Submission leaderboard also scored a golden cup. First up is Splave from the USA - a regular in this series of news posts. With a Global First Place in the HWBOT X265 4K 16xCPU benchmark (second overall) scores gold for Elite in the CPU benchmarks. The CPU used is the Intel Core i9 7960X clocked at 5629 MHz and of course cooled by liquid nitrogen. Next up is another regular from the United States: K|ngp|n. The man who's been in the game for well over a decade refreshed the 3DMark Time Spy World Record and set it at 35422 marks. For this, a Core i9 7960X was also used, yet clocked slightly lower than Splave's at 5.6 GHz. Also, four GeForce GTX1080 Ti graphics cards clocked at 2300/1583 cooled by liquid nitrogen help a lot *wink*. For the Extreme League, Luumi from Finland is representing strongly this week covering the 2D, 3D and Hardware top spot. The golden cup is achieved in the Hardware category as Luumi clears the first spot in the Wprime 1024M Core 2 Quad Q6600 category with a CPU clock of 4986 MHz. So close to 5G! Last but not least is Ev0lv3 from the USA. In the highly active ranking of the XTU Core i5 5200U the Rookie manages first place with 350 points, which is a single point higher than the runner-up. What a nice way to enter the world of overclocking!

The most used hardware components of Week 36 are the Core i7 7700K (11.3%), GeForce GTX 1080 Ti (10.2%) and the GIGABYTE X299 AORUS Gaming 7 (8.3%). In total the community used 320 different CPUs, 227 different GPUs and 740 different motherboards.
