OCWC Yogyakarta Qualifier: Contest Rules and Hardware Confirmed

The HWBOT World Tour returns to Indonesia for the Yogyakarta 2017 event at Yogyakomtek. Hosted in partnership with Jagat Review, primary hardware sponsor Intel and several other hardware vendors, the event will showcase the Overclocking World Championship Yogykarta 2017 Qualifier. Today we bring you confirmation of the overall structure and rules that will used in the contest and the hardware and benchmarks that will be involved.

Overclocking World Championship – Yogyakarta 2017 Qualifier - Extreme overclockers in the region are invited to take part in the Yogyakarta 2017 Qualifier contest. To compete, you have to purchase an LN2 ticket (available here), this will give you access to the Overclockers Gathering and unlimited LN2. Here’s a breakdown of how the contest is organized:

September 5th – Qualification Round

Benchmarks (three in three hours)

  • Maximum Memory Clock (CPU-Z)
  • 3DMark Ice Storm (IGP / Full-out)
  • Intel XTU 6GHz (limit determined by XTU)

General Rules

  • If the processor is damaged (read: does not function normally anymore), no replacement will be provided. The participant is not disqualified nor loses the round, he may however be unable to continue competing depending on the damage.
  • Submitted score(s) will stand and will be taken into account for the ranking.
  • After the Qualifier the CPU has to be given back to the Judge. Removal of the CPU, positioning and closing the lid on the HWBOT test setup is the responsibility of the participant. This action is performed only in presence of a judge or HWBOT Staff member. Thus no CPUs are accepted by hand. CPUs have to be verified on the spot for proper functioning!
  • Scores have to be submitted by each contestant to the official OC-ESPORTS contest page (regular OC-ESPORTS rules apply)
