Madshrimps (Belgium) Win ROG OC Showdown Team Edition: Full Contest Round Up

Last week we came to the conclusion of the ROG OC Showdown Team Edition contest on OC-ESPORTS. The contest was won with a blistering performance from the Madshrimps Belgium OC Team who finished in first place with 220 points. Alza OC from the Czech Republic finish in second place with the Germans of Hardwareluxx.de arriving in third.

Right now, we’re going to take a look at the scoring, the submissions and individuals overclockers that contributed to make the contest one of the most successful we have ever hosted on OC-ESPORTS. With well over a hundred overclocking teams competing for the fantastic prizes that ASUS and other partners have lined up, the ROG Showdown Team Edition is in fact the most popular vendor-sponsored contest we have ever hosted. ROG OC Showdown Team Edition: April 14th - June 5th 2017

The ROG OC Showdown contest is broken down into five individual stages, each with specific benchmarks and rules about how many scores are needed, restrictions on cooling and the different hardware needed. There are also restrictions regarding which overclockers can compete. For example Stage 1 involves three Rookies or Novice overclockers only, benching on XTU with three different quad-core processors using air or water cooling (25°C at idle).
