GIGABYTE Master Your Ryzen: Contest Update

GIGABYTE’s fourth contest of the 2017 season got under way just over week ago with the Master Your Ryzen 2017 contest. Seeing as we are now in the second week of the contest, we going to take a look at the scores being made with the latest AMD hardware and take a look at the leaders in both Ambient and Extreme categories.

GIGABYTE Master Your Ryzen – June 1st – July 2nd

The GIGABYTE Master Your Ryzen contest is an OC-ESPORTS contest centered on the latest Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 5 series processors from AMD. The contest is divided in two, with Extreme and Elite overclockers invited to participate in the Extreme category contest using Ryzen 7 CPUs as much LN2 as they like. Rookie, Novice and Enthusiast members invited to take part in the Ambient sub-contest using Ryzen 5 CPUs and non-subzero cooling only. The great news is that GIGABYTE are offering cash prizes of $1,200 USD for each category, plus another $600 USD as Lucky Prize Draw prizes. That’s $3,000 bucks in total!

Ryzen 7: Extreme Category

Last Friday Elite overclocker and Xtreme Systems team captain FUGGER (US) made his presence felt in the Extreme category contest, making three submissions that put him at the top of the table with winning scores in all three stages. In Stage 1 it’s all about CPU frequency. FUGGER tops the table with Ryzen 7 1800X processor clocked at 4,891.84MHz, a hug +35.88% beyond stock cooling. This was done using a GIGABYTE AX370-Gaming 5 motherboard. Second place in Stage 1 currently belongs to Infuriare (UK) on 4,190MHz while rushy (Australia) sits in third place with 4,091.7MHz,
