OC-ESPORTS Roundup: May 2017

Today we once again take a look at the current rankings for overlockers on OC-ESPORTS, taking in all the overclocking action that took place in the month of May 2017. As well as focusing on the rankings for individual overclockers and overclocking teams, we’ll also take a moment to look at the contests that ended in May. These include the GIGABYTE Summer Spectacular, the Rookie Rumble #44 and the final Old School is Best School of the year.

Official World Overclocking Rankings - May 2017

In the individual rankings on OC-ESPORTS we find quite a shake up in the top ten compared to what we saw last month. By far the biggest climber on the table was Italian rsannino who has managed, not only to secure top spot at the top of the table, but also mammoth lead of over 300 hundreds points. How is this possible? The Italian just won the G.SKILL OC World Cup 2017, a top ranking OC-ESPORTS contest that also represents the OCWC World Qualifier for Taipei 2017.

The OC World Cup win is worth 250 points, while his qualification from the Live Qualifier segment where he finished second earned him an additional 79 points. All of which means that in the space of one week rsannino has earned himself 329 points (not mention the $10,000 USD he won for winning the actual contest). Behind him in the rankings we find Polish legend Xtreme Addict who finished first in the G.SKILL World Cup Live Qualifier and runner up up in the final. Interestingly his total of 337 points have been earned entirely from his exploits in this year’s G.SKILL World Cup.
