Open Benchtable Receives (Actual) iF DESIGN AWARD

A few weeks ago we learned how the Open Benchtable, a benchtable project that used design feedback from HWBOT members, had won an award from the iF DESIGN Forum in the category of Computer Product. Today we spotted a news post on the Open Benchtable website that reveals how they have now received the actual award in the post. Here’s a sample of what they have to say:

"A couple of months ago we posted an official news piece declaring that the BC1 Open Benchtable had received the award for Computer Product Design 2017 from the iF DESIGN group. It was a great moment, to have official recognition from a prestigious group such as the iF Design Forum, a group made up of 58 of the world’s leading international design experts. Today we follow up with a few pictures of the award, which has now arrived at our office in Taipei – in actual physical form."

"It’s great to win an award for creating a product that breaks the mold in terms of design and innovation, but it’s even more rewarding when one day you actually receive the award itself in a box in the mail. The award will soon by adorning the wall of our office – a permanent reminder of what can be achieved with the right combination of hard work, determination and a fearless willingness to try and create something new. Here’s a shot of the actual award after we opened up the package that arrived at the office (left)."
