Rauf, k|ngp|n, H20 VS. LN2 and Dancop Break 3D World Records

Here’s a quick update regarding a few 3D benchmark records that have fallen in the last week or so. The records include 3DMark2001, Catzilla 720p, 3DMark Fire Strike, 3DMark Time Spy and Unigine Heaven Xtreme:

H20 vs LN2 – Catzilla 720p WR: H20 VS. LN2 is an American overclocker who specializes in pitting his extremely high-powered water cooled system against the best that the extreme overclocking crowd can throw at him. On April 5th he managed to break the Word Record for Catzilla 720p with a score of 72,724 marks. The rig used includes 4x GTX 1080 Ti cards, each pushed to an impressive 2,100MHz on the GPU and 1,525MHz on the graphics memory. The system also uses an Intel Core i7 6950X clocked at 4,699MHz (+56.63%). Other rig details include a G.SKILL Ripjaw DDR4 kit configured at 3,000MHz (10-11-11-11) and an ASUS Rampage V Extreme motherboard.

k|ngp|n - 3DMark Fire Strike and Time Spy WRs: A few days later k|ngp|n was out and about showcasing his GPU pushing skills once again, this time using his 4x GTX 1080 Ti rig to break world Records in 3DMark Fire Strike and Time Spy. With a Core i7 6950X clocked at 5,227MHz (+74.23%) and his VGA array (apparently newly wetted EVGA KP Editions cards) clocked at 2,360MHz (+59.46%), he managed a new 3DMark Fire Strike World Record score of 48,739 marks. With the GPUs configured at a more conservative 2,455MHz (+65.88%) he also managed to crack the World Record for the 3DMark Time Spy benchmark with a score of 32,089 marks. Nice going Vince.

Dancop - Unigine Heaven Xtreme WR: The HWBOT World No.1 came out from hiding to break the World Record for the Unigine Heaven Xtreme benchmark on April 8th with a score of 11,447.9 DX11 Marks. This was achieved using a Core i7 7700K processor pushed to 7,027.37MHz (+67.32%), alongside a pair of GTX 1080 Ti cards pushed to 2,100MHz (+41.89%) on the GPU and 1,539MHz (+11.85%) on graphics memory. Nice work Daniel!

Rauf – 3DMark2001 WR: Finally we come to Sweden’s Rauf and a new World Record for the 3DMark2001 benchmark which now stands at 21,4987 marks. The new record score was made with a Core i7 7700K pushed to 7,070MHz (+68.33%), plus a GTX 980 Ti card with the GPU clocked at 1,500MHz (+39.41%) and graphics memory at 2,000MHz (+14.09%).
