An Update from Strunkenbold, Maintainer of the HWBOT Hardware Database

The following is an update from Strunkenbold, a HWBOT member that has done enormous amounts of work behind the scenes to keep the hardware database up to date, and a man who deserves a massive pat on the back from us all:

This is just a small update but should mainly inform you about the problems we have had in the last few months regarding our Hardware database interface. Previously we had a good working interface, which was far from feature complete but was still the one I used to accomplish some major restructuring in the past. The only downside was, it was insecure. It was probably as old as the ‘bot, so it had to go.

A new programmer started developing a new interface based on a newer framework. The result was rather horrible. Missing functionality, slow and in short, actually unusable. However because there were no alternatives on the horizon, we had to work with it. The issues were so serious that there were no options other than developing a new one from scratch.

I’m very happy that Frederik took over and actually finished a few weeks ago. We now finally have the possibility to add everything to the database. There are still things left to do, mainly the option to merge duplicate entries. However, I want to say thank you to Frederik for his hard work! Once merge function is available we will be able to do some overdue cleanups. Some of them are now have been on the to do list for over 2 years on – it’s really about time. If you have questions or requests feel free to open a thread in the support section - we should be able again to process your requests. Here are the most recent updates:

New AMD CPUs: : Ryzen 7 1800X, Ryzen 7 1800 Pro, Ryzen 7 1700X, Ryzen 7 1700, Ryzen 7 1700 Pro, Ryzen 5 1600X, Ryzen 5 1600 Pro, Ryzen 5 1500, Ryzen 5 1500 Pro, Ryzen 5 1400X, Ryzen 5 1400 Pro, Ryzen 5 1300, Ryzen 5 1300 Pro, Ryzen 3 1200X, Ryzen 3 1200 Pro, Ryzen 3 1100, Ryzen 3 1100 Pro

New Intel CPUs: Mobile Pentium 133Mhz, Mobile Pentium 150Mhz

New SoCs: : Atom x5 Z8350, Exynos 7 Octa 7880

New AMD GPUs: : Radeon Pro 450, Radeon Pro 455, Radeon Pro 460, Radeon R9 M390, FirePro M4150, Radeon R9 M380, Radeon R7 A370, Radeon R7 M445, Radeon HD 3850 X3

New Nvidia GPUs: : Quadro P6000, GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, GeForce 930A

New Intel GPUs: : GMA 3650, PowerVR SGX545 (Rouge)

New ARM GPUs: : Mali-T830MP3

Note: The memory speed of GDDR5X and HBM based cards were wrong. The value was mostly doubled of what it should actually be, this led to negative overclocks. This should be corrected now. There were also some corrections for Intel Atom CPUs/SoCs, once we we have full functionality of the database there should be more fixes...
