Old School is Best School: Round 4 Kicks Off March 15th - AMD Socket A, plus Nvidia GeForce 2

Round 4 of the third season of the Old School is Best School contest gets underway in just a week or so from now. Running from March 15th until April 15th, Round 4 promises to be very much a classic encounter as old timers are invited to battle it out on the legendary AMD Socket A platform. If this isn’t enough to tickle your retro OC glands, there’s also the joy of revisiting fondly remembered GeForce 2 series GPUs. Old School is Best School Round 4: March 15th - April 15th 2017

The OSiBS contest is also a team contest which means that teams have to be well organized. Once a team knows who has what hardware, it’s all about deciding who has the skills to make the important winning scores. Coordination and leadership is a key factor in winning the contest. The OSiBS contest is in its third season on OC-ESPORTS and spans the Overclocking 2017 season with a series month-long contests or rounds. Each round has three stages where specific hardware and benchmarks are paired. Here are the stages we have lined up in Round 4.

  • Stage-1: CPU Frequency (OC %)
  • Stage-2: 3DMark01
  • Stage-3: Cinebench 2003
