Here’s a World Record of note that you may have missed from earlier last week. US No.1 Overclocker Splave managed to set a new highest memory frequency for DDR4, hitting a 2631.4MHz (DDR4-5262.8), the highest ever memory frequency ever submitted on HWBOT. The record was made using a Core i3 7350K Kaby Lake processor at 1018.55 MHz (8 * 127.32 MHz) plus an ASRock Z170M OC Formula motherboard.

The World Record frequency of 2631.4MHz was made using a Team Group T-FORCE XTREEM DDR4 8GB module (DDR4-2137) with 21-31-31-63-2 timings in single channel mode.

The new World Record highest DDR4 frequency edges past the previous highest frequency from Thailand’s current No.2 Overclocker Audigy who posted a DDR4 frequency of 2630.4 back on January 13th earlier this year. It's worth noting that Audigy also used a Team Group T-FORCE XTREEM DDR4 kit, plus the same ASRock Z170M OC Formula motherboard.
