In Week 8 of 2017, we received 4371 benchmark results from 1099 registered overclockers around the world. The majority of the submissions is coming from Rookie overclockers representing 60% of the active community. They were responsible for 43% of the submissions. We had a peek at the most valuable submissions in a breakdown per league.

During Week 8 of 2017 we saw the first performance figures from AMD's upcoming Ryzen processors. It seems that we may be seeing the first AMD-based Global First Place and maybe World Records of the year pop up soon! The overclocking activity is still high more than 1000 overclockers building their profile at HWBOT. Xtreme Addict from Poland scored a couple of Global First Place results. The one that makes this week's leaderboard is the Cinebench 4xCPU Global First Place with the Core i7 7700K clocked at 6850 MHz. Also celebrating a golden cup this week is Extreme from Iran. He tops the XTU Core i7 4710HQ leaderboard with a score of 850 marks. Congratulations!

The overclocking results submitted during Week 8 generated in total 55 World Record Points, 7518.7 Global Points, and 8105 Hardware Points. The distribution per League is as follows: 19% for Elite, 37% for Extreme, 9% for Apprentice, 15% for Enthusiast, 5% for Novice, and 24% for Rookie. The representation of the active community is as follows: 3% Elite, 7% Extreme, 4% Apprentice, 17% Enthusiast, 9% Novice, and 60% Rookie.
