[Video] DrWeez Live Benching: The Initial Kaby Lake Encounter

After a break for a few weeks, DrWeez is back in action. Upon return his focus is solely on getting up to speed with the latest Z270 platform motherboards and of course the new Kaby Lake processors from Intel. The new platform from Intel is now available in the market in South Africa as is the new Z270 XPOWER Gaming Titanium motherboard from MSI, the platform which DrWeez uses in latest video stream.

The video stream shows DrWeez prepping for his very first foray into the world of Kaby Lake. The CPU used is, as you would imagine the top dog of the bunch, a Core i7 7700K, which is paired with an MSI Z270 XPOWER Gaming Titanium, a GALAXY HoF DDR4 memory kit, a Cooler Master Nepton 280L All-in-One cooler plus a Cooler Master V1200 PSU. He’s also using the Open Benchtable that he covered in his last video a few weeks ago.

The stream covers DrWeez taking a first step into Kay Lake territory, and he does so through the lens of the second gen Titanium board from MSI. One of the things on his to-do list is exploring the capabilities of the new board, including the myriad OC features that it offers. These include the memory presets that are included in the stock BIOS, plus other BIOS options including the OC Quick View Timer, FASTB1 Settings (which controls the behavior of an onboard button) plus several others.
