Most Valuable Submission of Week 3, 2017: Gold for Splave (US), 8 Pack (UK), BarboneNet (AU), Hideo (JP), Kintaro (GR), Pilu (IT) and Poparamiro (RO)

In Week 3 of 2017, we received 4897 benchmark results from 1141 registered overclockers around the world. The majority of the submissions is coming from Rookie overclockers representing 61% of the active community. They were responsible for 36% of the submissions. We had a peek at the most valuable submissions in a breakdown per league.

Overclockers from around the world continue to enjoy Kaby Lake in 2017 with no less than 7 golden cups in the leaderboard this week. First up is Splave from the United States with a Global First Place in Cinebench R15 with his Core i7 7700K clocked at 6779 MHz. He beat Hideo who had taken the top spot earlier this week. Next up is 8 Pack from the United Kingdom who showed off his 7GHz 3DMark05 stable Core i7 7700K, grabbing the World Record in the process. Impressive! Also from the Elite league we have BarboneNet from Australia scoring a Global First Place in the 3DMark01 GeForce GTX 280 category. His 7700K is clocked at 6.9GHz and paired with a 1060/1300 MHz graphics card it gives him the top spot in the ranking. Stepping down one notch in leagues, we find Hideo from Japan with a golden cup in the Cinebench R11.5 4xCPU ranking. His 7700K CPU is clocked at 6834 MHz and outpaces 8 Pack and Rtsurfer. Kintaro from Greece is keeping it more old-school with a golden cup in the Wprime 1024M Core 2 Quad Q6600 category with the CPU clocked at 4905 MHz. We also have two golden cup victories in the Apprentice league. First up is Pilu from Italy with a global first place in the GPUPI for CPU 1B 12xCPU ranking. His pair of Xeon E5649 processors are clocked at 4021.3 MHz, resulting in a score of 1min 18.035sec. Last but not least it's Poparamiro from Romania, a regular feature in this news segment. He scores a golden cup in the Unigine Heaven Xtreme preset with a Radeon HD 5850 clocked at 1270/1380 MHz. Congratulations to everyone making the leaderboard this week!

The overclocking results submitted during Week 2 generated in total 140 World Record Points, 7682.2 Global Points, and 9743.7 Hardware Points. The distribution per League is as follows: 16% for Elite, 38% for Extreme, 9% for Apprentice, 17% for Enthusiast, 6% for Novice, and 22% for Rookie. The representation of the active community is as follows: 2% Elite, 7% Extreme, 3% Apprentice, 17% Enthusiast, 10% Novice, and 61% Rookie.
