Most Valuable Submission of Week 1, 2017: Gold for Dancop (DE), Smoke (RU), Fredyama (JP), Kintaro (GR) and BoTSkill (RO)

In Week 1 of 2017, we received 5247 benchmark results from 1205 registered overclockers around the world. The majority of the submissions is coming from Rookie overclockers representing 64% of the active community. They were responsible for 38% of the submissions. We had a peek at the most valuable submissions in a breakdown per league.

The first week turned out to be spectacular in every sense of the word. We welcomed 476 overclockers in the Rookie Rumble #39 - the best ever! For XTU, we high a record-high month in December in terms of data connections and a record-high week during the first seven days of 2017 in terms of result submissions and active users. A lot of high profile results were submitted during the first week resulting in a massive amount of points to be distributed and of course plenty of world records.

In the first week of 2017, we find Dancop from Germany grabbing the top spot in XTU 4xCPU and the overall World Record in 3DMark03 with highly overclocked Core i7 7700K Kaby Lake processors. Smoke from Russia grabbed the top spot in the Aquamark 1x GeForce 8800 GTX ranking, pushing the card over 535,000 points. In the Extreme category, we find Fredyama from Japan featuring with the elusive SuperPI 32M World Record which was published within the first minute of the Kaby Lake launch. Also, we find Kintaro from Greece in the list. He achieved the highest frequency ever for the Core 2 Duo E6300 pushing it to 4682.6 MHz (668.98 MHz BCLK!). Last but not least we have BoTSkill from Romania shooting for the stars in the XTU Core i5 6400 category, outscoring his next competitor by a mere single point. Congratulations to everyone making the leaderboard this week!

The overclocking results submitted during Week 1 generated in total 455 World Record Points, 12247.4 Global Points, and 8967.6 Hardware Points. The distribution per League is as follows: 48% for Elite, 23% for Extreme, 6% for Apprentice, 8% for Enthusiast, 3% for Novice, and 18% for Rookie. The representation of the active community is as follows: 2% Elite, 6% Extreme, 3% Apprentice, 16% Enthusiast, 9% Novice, and 64% Rookie.
