The old adage states that what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. Well it turns out that this is not the case. The HWBOT World Tour website just published a photo album featuring the Overclocking World Championship Qualifier contest that took place just a few days ago in Las Vegas. The contest was of course eventually won by steponz who now officially becomes the first contestant confirmed for the World Championship Final at the end of the year. He is also the first US overclocker to do so. The photo album includes dome great shots of the action from Vegas with the LN2 in full flow.
The action took place at the GIGABYTE Suites in Caesars Palace, a fitting venue for some serious extreme overclocking. Just in case you missed the news, the final pitted Indonesia’s Lucky_n00b against steponz. Benching on the newly launched Kaby Lake Core i7 7700K processors and the latest Z270X-Gaming-SOC motherboards, steponz managed to beat Lucky_n00b with an impressive SuperPi 8M run of just 1m 2.069sec.
