Open Benchtable, Community Edition Almost Out of Stock

The Open Benchtable project website just posted news that the Community Edition of the Benchtable is almost sold out with only around thirty pieces left in stock. The Community Edition is a little different from the standard Streacom BC1 that is available in the channel. It was made up of a limited run of 200 pieces, features a traveler sleeve and a laser engraving which includes the actual production number.

“Since launch its launch in September earlier this year, the Open Benchtable has proved to be popular with enthusiasts and Overclockers. So much so, that in fact the Community Edition is almost out of stock. Current inventory reveals that there are in fact only around thirty units left. If you still fancy treating yourself to a Community Edition OBT, now would the right time to whip out your wallet.”

“The Community Edition of the Open Benchtable differs from the standard version in that it comes complete with a traveler carry sleeve. The sleeve is black and is made from a durable elastic material that feels good and simply stretches over the benchtable. It’s perfect for keeping it clean and free from dust and corrosion. The Community Edition also features a special engraving which identifies exactly which one it is from an initial run of only 200 pieces. This means that the Community Edition Open Benchtable, truly is a limited edition product.”

You can find more details about the Community Edition of the Open Benchtable here on the OBT website.

Where does this ship from? If not from EU, it gets much more expensive: (OBT + OBT*20% VAT) + import tax on the whole thing (depends on the type of goods and country of origin) + taxes for documentation (10-20 EUR). 145EUR*1.20*1.05 + 15EUR - That's around 200EUR. And a lot of time lost in the customs.

It is sent directly from China. Taxes etc depends and vary a lot from countries to countries.

In that case - "No, thank you" :).
