OC legend k|ngp|n is at it again, pushing the boundaries of subzero 3D benching to break another pair of World Records. Earlier today he submitted two scores that broke the World Records for both 3DMark Fire Strike and Fire Strike Extreme. Both records were broken using what must surely be most extreme consumer-grade graphics array ever – a rig based around four Nvidia Titan X Pascal cards.

The new highest ever score in 3DMark Fire Strike now sits at 47,621 marks. This score is actually a fair margin ahead of the next best score held by elmor of Sweden with 46,873 marks. In 3Dmark Fire Strike Extreme k|ngp|n managed a score of 40,115 marks. This again puts plenty of light between the next best rival, who in this case is Germany’s der8auer on 37,868 marks.

The rig rundown looks like this. As you might expect k|ngp|n used a deca-core Core i7 6950X processor which he pushed under LN2 to 5,227MHz, a massive +74.23% beyond stock. Four Nvidia Titan X Pascal cards were tuned to 2,200MHz (+55.26%) with the graphics memory bumped up to 1,470M Hz (+17%). Other components include an EVGA X99 FTW-K motherboard, 32GB of G.SKILL Trident Z DDR4 memory.

The two Word Record rankings are worth a straight 100 points each, plus an additional haul of 71 points for the 4x GPU rankings and Titan X Pascal rankings. Interestingly the Fire Strike Extreme score is the first ever recorded that breaks the 4K barrier. A landmark score you could say.
