Madshrimps (Belgium) Win HWBOT Team Cup 2016

Just a few days have past since the conclusion of the HWBOT Team Cup 2016, the fourth edition of the ultimate team-based Overclocking contest. Hosted on OC-ESPORTS from July 1st until the end of September, this year’s Team Cup saw more participants than ever competing for the title of OC team of the year with an impressive 107 teams battling it out to become HWBOT Team Champions 2016.

This year’s winners are the Madshrimps Belgium OC Team who are wholly unrecognizable from the team that finished 26th in last year’s contest. In second place we have last year’s champions Warp9-systems (previously Classicplatforms.com). Third place goes to XtremeOverdrive OC team Italy followed by the Germans of Team Hardware-Reaktor-Reloaded, Overclockers.com and Overclock.net. HWBOT Team Cup 2016 - The Ultimate Team Overclocking Contest

In terms of participation, the HWBOT Team Cup 2016 has exceeded previous years with 107 teams compared to last year’s 95 teams. Once again the contest involved teams of overclockers competing against each other across five sub-competitions that in total make up a massive 30 individual stages. Each of the five sub-competitions cover pretty much all aspects of modern and retro hardware overclocking and include CPU, GPU, Memory and Miscellaneous stages.
