[Video] HWBOT World Tour 2016 Asia – The Aftermovie

I feels like quite some time ago now, but in fact back in June of this year the HWBOT World Tour 2016 rolled up in its home town of Taipei and put together probably the biggest competitive OC event ever attempted by HWBOT. Today we are happy to share with you the Aftermovie, compiled by our buddy Trouffman at OverClocking-TV. The short movie captures all of the thrills of the event, including a recap of the exciting final between Hazzan and Xtreme Addict.

Running throughout the massive Computex technology show at the Nangang Exhibition Hall, dozens of Elite and Extreme overclockers competed for cash prizes throughout the week with LN2 laid on in abundance. There were also benching stations lined up to teach amateur overclockers the ropes with workshops available for all in attendance at the trade show. Amateurs were also allowed to compete against each other with semi-finals and a grand final to find out who was Amateur World Series Champion.

Of course Extreme overclocking took more of the limelight with intense competition happening on each day of the event. The contest was made all the more interesting in part because Intel had agreed to launch their new HEDT platform processors at the event, supplying Core i7 6950X chips for overclockers to compete with. This added an additional challenge for many overclockers, most of whom had little or no experience with the new Broadwell E platform.

Catch the aftermovie here on the OverClocking-TV YouTube channel and relive one of the most impressive OC events of recent times.
