Hernandez (Italy) Wins Rookie Rumble #34 and Lucky Prize Draw

Here’s a quick recap of last month’s Rookie Rumble #34 contest on OC-ESPORTS, a contest which is only open to Rookie and Novice members of HWBOT. The contest ran from July 30th – August 20th and spanned three stages suited to Rookie overclocking. The winner of #34 is Italian No.2 Rookie Hernandez who takes the win with a total of 136 points and two outright stage wins.

Stage 1 was won by Hernandez with an Intel XTU score of 1,773 marks. This was achieved using a Core i7 6700K clocked at 5GHz (+25%). In Stage 2 scores are divided by the number of cores present on the CPU benching HWBOT Prime. Hernandez again took the win, this time opting for a Core i3 clocked at 4,875MHz (+25.00%) to score 5,112.89 pps. In Stage 3 however Hernandez had to make do with third place. The win went to Iranian overclocker Wise who won the stage with a run of 8sec 983ms in GPUPI for CPU - 100M using a Core i7 5960X clocked at 4,589MHz (+52%).

Hernandez wins the contest at a canter with 136 points, but in second place we have Indonesia’s rikh0 with 110 points while in third place we have Germany’s teracon with 100 points. Stage 3 winner Wise arrives in fourth. In a slightly unusual turn of fate Hernandez also was also the first name out of the proverbial hat in the lucky prize draw. As well as the Rookie Rumble #34 crown, he also takes home a G.SKILL Trident Z DDR4 16GB (F4-3000C14-16GTZ) memory kit courtesy of contest sponsors G.SKILL. Congrats to all who part, especially to Hernandez. Well done.
