The ASUS ROG OC Showdown Formula contest on OC-ESPORTS has been humming away very nicely for the last week so. It basically invites overclockers from HWBOT’s Rookie, Novice and Enthusiast leagues to compete against each other using any ASUS motherboard and ambient cooling (no lower than 30°C). Round 1 involves three stages; Intel XTU, GPUPI for CPU - 1B and HWBOT x265.

One unique aspect of the contest is awarding of additional points at specific stages in the contest, just to keeps nice and lively. To quote the rules posted on the contest page; “On September 5 at 12pm (GMT+8), +1 point will be rewarded for the Top-10 overall ranking of the Round”. Here is the list of combatants that made the top ten and will receive additional, or bonus points.

Congrats to everyone who made the top ten. It’s great to see that the contest has been well attended so far with 84 Novice and Rookie overclockers competing. We look forward to September 14th when the top ten again will benefit from additional points.
