Community Edition Open Benchtable Now Available

After months of hard work the Open Benchtable is now available for purchase. The initial production run arrives in the form of the Community Edition; a limited run of 200 units which feature a special engraving and includes a travel sleeve. It is available now directly from openbenchtable.com for US $149.

The Open Benchtable is the brainchild of HWBOT, OverClocking-TV and manufacturer Streacom. The idea from the outset was to create a benchtable that appeals to traveling overclockers, enthusiasts and professionals. It is designed for ultimate portability, weighs just 1.82kg and features a carry handle - perfect for any overclocker on the move.

Early prototype designs of the Open Benchtable have been used by several leading and experienced overclockers. In fact prototypes were available for use during the HWBOT World Tour Asia event at Computex a few months ago. This has given the development team a great opportunity to get really valuable feedback from some of the scene’s leading overclockers, a fact that has helped create a really special and unique design.

The Open Benchtable is made of 100% heavy duty, anodized aluminum. In terms of what rig you build around it, it’s also pretty versatile, supporting all motherboard form factors and up to four graphics cards. All of its parts are integrated into the main body so there is zero rattling screws or standoffs. Plus all the screws are in fact high quality thumbscrews, so you don’t even need a carry screwdriver.

You can check out the Open Benchtable in all its glory here on the OBT website. The Community Edition is in production now and will ship in September.
