[HWBOT X] OC Workshop - San Pedro Sula, Honduras

HWBOT X enjoyed its first ever event in Latin America just a few days ago, with an Overclocking workshop and demonstration organized in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. The event took place at one of the country’s most respected Technology Universities, the Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana, known locally as UNITEC or in English as the Central American Technological University. The idea was to expose UNITEC undergraduates to the general concepts of overclocking in the hope of inspiring some Honduras’ greatest minds to start overclocking.

The event was organized by the No.1 overclocker in Honduras, David Martinez, known to HWBOT members as masterbitz. Running throughout the afternoon of Friday July 29th at the UNITEC University Campus, David put on a full tutorial and demonstration for the students in attendance. The workshop event was sponsored by UNITEC, KLEVV, ID-Coolin and Gelid Solutions and was completely free and open to all students on campus, and indeed anyone else who wanted join in the fun.

Key topics of the presentation included an overview of what overclocking actually is, how it actually works, what components should or can be used, followed by a session that showed attendees how to use Intel XTU to tweak, tune and benchmark a system.
