Calling all Indonesian Overclockers! Earlier today the guys over on JagatOC published news that confirms the Asia Pacific leg of the HWBOT World 2016. The event will be held during Yogyakomtek in Yogyakarta, Indonesia from September 3rd to 7th and will feature OC Workshops plus Amateur and Extreme Overclocking contests. Tickets for the event are now on sale.
Those of you who have yet to taste the HWBOT World 2016, here’s a basic synopsis; the HWBOT World Tour has so far this year visited S.Africa, France, Brazil, Canada, running contests and workshops alongside major LAN party events. The most recent event happened during Computex 2016 here in our own back yard in Taipei, Taiwan. The idea is promote Overclocking and engage and inspire newbies with OC Workshops while also offering space for extreme overclockers to get down to some serious competitive action with access to unlimted LN2. It’s an ambitious project that has taken a mammoth amount of work and preparation.
With the help of the guys at JagatOC the Asia Pacific leg of the tour is now taking shape. In fact the event in Indonesia promises to be one of the most exciting so far this year, having one of the best organized and most expansive amateur OC scenes in the world. We don’t have a great deal of details about the exact format so far, but one thing is for sure, the amateur element of the event will happen under the AOCT umbrella that the Jagat Review guys have been doing for years, so expect some genuinely competitive amateur action.
Whatever your level or ability, the Asia Pacific event will be the biggest OC event in the region this year. One last thing, Alva “Lucky_n00b” Jonathon has told us that he won’t be competing this year, a shot in the proverbial arm that should spur on any Indonesian overclocker considering attendance.
