The Road Pro series kicked off its third and final round on OC-ESPORTS just days ago. A major aspect of the Series of course involves the Pro guys who compete in the Pro OC Championship which features five overclockers who take part in the Pro OC cooperative platform. This is a new idea where basically they get paid to share content with us and share their experiences of competing at the highest end of the sport.

The first stage of Round 3 got underway last weekend, finishing up just hours ago in fact. With Round 3 we turn the focus of the contest to the Intel Broadwell-E platform, deca-core CPUS, quad channel DDR4 and more. Stage 1 was all about tweaking systems to score as highly as possible in Cinebench R11.5, the winner at the end of a weekend’s fun was current World No.1 Dancop.

Dancop won the stage with a score of 30.89 points, just ahead of US No.1 Splave on 30.38 and Dancop’s nemesis (and good friend) Xtreme Addict with 30.34 points.

Dancop’s score was made with a Core i7 6950X pumped to a massive 5,310.04MHz (+77.00%) on LN2. His G.SKILL Trident Z DDR4 memory kit was tuned to 1,686MHz (CL11.0 11-11-28 1T) using an ASUS Rampage V Edition 10 motherboard. His score of 30.89 points is currently the fastest ever submitted using a ten-core CPU. According to the submission details an Nvidia Titan X (Pascal) was also present and pushed to 2,176.5MHz (+53.60%), but apparently for cosmetic reasons seeing as Cinebench R11.5 is pretty much CPU bound.

The win in Stage 1 of Round 3 means that Dancop has so far won nine out of all elevens stages so far this season. A very impressive performance which keeps him in pole position in Round 3 and well placed to make a straight three out of three rounds for the 2016 contest as a whole. Nice work.
